Dornych fondant Read the story

Once upon a time, where the Clarion Congress Hotel Brno stands today, the rhythmic clatter of looms could be heard, and the scent of freshly woven fabric filled the air.

The Dornych district was once one of the vibrant centers of Brno’s textile industry – a place where luxurious fabrics were created from ordinary fibers. At that time, Brno earned the nickname “the Moravian Manchester,” and its textiles became a symbol of quality and craftsmanship. The craft of weaving – precise, layered, and full of detail – left an indelible mark on this place. Thread by thread, a harmonious whole was created here.

Today, we weave the story again – this time on a plate. That is why we created a dessert that pays tribute to the weaving craft: layered, precise, and full of contrast, just like the patterns of the fabrics once produced here – the Dornych Fondant.

The chocolate fondant forms a rich core, vanilla ice cream brings a bright contrast, chocolate crumble and cocoa powder evoke the texture of yarn, and salted caramel ties everything together into a harmonious whole.

Taste a piece of Brno’s history and be inspired by the craft that shaped the entire region – a story in which the past naturally intertwines with the present
